Sister Anna returns to Assumption Iloilo as school director

Assumption Iloilo officially welcomed Sister Anna Carmela Pesongco, R.A., as the returning School Principal on June 1, 2023. 

Sr. Anna had previously served Assumption Iloilo from 1995 to 2000. Sr. Anna received the Department of Education's Most Outstanding Female Private School Principal award in 2001. She expressed her happiness in returning to Iloilo.

“What I like in Iloilo is that I’m back home,” Sr. Anna said.

As the newly appointed principal, Sr. Anna aims to take on the challenge of leadership and bring about positive changes in the school. 

Sr. Anna expressed, “We have to continue developing and growing as a school, continuing to develop the work of transformative education. I would like to be a part of that growth in Iloilo.” 

Prior to her current appointment, Sr. Anna had served as the Principal of St. Martin School Inc. in Baguio City for six years and as the Dean of Assumption San Lorenzo, Makati Campus.
