A Blueprint for Transformative Growth: Welcoming a New Administrative Team
Assumption Iloilo designated a new set of leadership which started this school year 2023-2024, with its fresh batch of administrative officers. The team has been appointed to lead the institution for the upcoming years. This change within the halls of education is often met with great anticipation and apprehension. As the school welcomes this new administration, it marks a transition in leadership, and an opportunity to invigorate the spirit and love for learning. Under this newly inaugurated management, Assumption Iloilo will embark on a transformative journey by prioritizing student success, fostering inclusive environments, and implementing innovative educational practices to propel not only on academic excellence but holistic and integral development.
The team consists of Sr. Fe Emmanuel Beltran, R.A as the Head of the Apostolate; Sr. Anna Carmela Pesongco, R.A as the school director; Mrs. Ma. Josefina Rivas as the Director of Finance; Mr. Beryl John Conejar, as the Academic Coordinator; and Mrs. Emely Andallon as the Student Services Coordinator. With a focus on innovation and comprehensive improvement of the school, they aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in both academic and spiritual aspects.
Fostering student success and creating inclusive environments within the school campus are fundamental objectives that require deliberate and strategic approaches. It is first and foremost essential to establish a school culture that prioritizes equity and inclusion, ensuring that every student feels a sense of being heard, seen, and respected.
“As the current academic coordinator, learner success is a priority. It involves the use of innovative learning strategies, consistent tracking of learner progress, and providing support and varied opportunities for the learners to grow holistically. On the other hand, the school will uphold the values of Assumption Education. These values support equity, inclusion initiatives, diversity, and fostering open communication channels among the members of the community. The school will continue to promote collaboration with teachers, parents, learners, and outreach communities in setting clear academic and extracurricular goals and offering necessary resources to further enrich the learning experience in the Assumption” Mr. Beryl John Conejar expressed with great determination.
As one of the three pillars of the school, academic excellence for service is a crucial component as it instills a sense of confidence and responsibility among students while generating values including humility and generosity. Moreover, this recognizes that education extends far beyond academics to encompass the physical, emotional, and moral elements of students’ lives. As the Student Services Coordinator, Mrs. Emely Andallon stated: “To propel both academic excellence and holistic and integral development, it is essential for me as the current Student Services Coordinator to work on the things that bring out the best among the learners. One of which is by collaborating with the community, especially with the stakeholders. Both direct and indirect connections that the community has towards the school affect the formation of the learners. With this in mind, I can think of utilizing community resources to incorporate in school programs. For example, I can enhance the implementation of club and organization activities that extend outside the school coverage and learners involvement. This innovative step will serve as a stepping stone for learners to develop their whole being. More so, its direct impact is fostering academic excellence because as these learners thrive for engagement, eventually they will also thrive for academic validation.”
In the pursuit of excellence, as the new leaders take the helm in the school, they aim to do so with a profound sense of purpose and dedication. With their sufficient knowledge, expertise, and values as their guiding principles, they are poised to lead the Assumption community into a bright future and embark together on a journey to inspire, educate, and empower generations driven and grounded by teachings of the Assumption education.
